House of Gold & Bone #3: The only notable thing about this is that there’s a match-to incentive so that we can order the “ultra-rare” cover. On a mini-series? Seriously? I expect this “ultra-rare” cover to be just as cheap in 2 years as the not-so-ultra-rare cover. It’s just embarrassing for publishers to do this sort of stunt. Batman and Batgirl: This title officially becomes Batman Team-Up with this change. Brave & Bold did okay years ago but sales waned and surged with the appearance and cover. This cover isn’t much to excite anyone and Batgirl is ‘eh’ as a team-up partner. Cutting. Batwoman: Niiiice cover. But, y’know, it’s still Batwoman so nothing to see here. Birds of Prey: Crosses-over with Talon #9. Check numbers on Talon and cross-reference to see how many people will need part one who don’t normally buy Birds of Prey. Green Lantern New Guardians: This is not a cover that inspires sales but it is a Ring issue so order like you’ll sell it. Indigo rings for this one. Trinity of Sin Pandora: Hmmmm. If this was coming out from Big Clown Comics or some other non-publisher the obvious answer would be zero… or -2 just to make sure you didn’t get stuck with any. As it is, this will lead into Trinity War. Past history shows that few preludes, even when branded as so, have little sales cashe. House of M preludes anyone? Most fans are looking for the meat of the event. Throw in a Wildstorm retread and the interest goes pretty low. But it will get some play because of the...

Breath of Bones A Tale of the Golem: This is an old concept and has been done with limited success except for a trade some years ago. Niles’ fans will pick this up and it will likely appeal to the BPRD crowd. Ordering for BPRD subs and will fill copies for the stands with the give-backs. True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) has a fan following that transcends his music. Umbrella Academy did very well and this should find that same market. However, the marker will have to be re-cultivated as UA hasn’t come out in years. Ordering like a decent selling Image #1 (but not Saga by any means). American Vampire Long Road to Hell: Sure, it will sell to AV fans but with the lousy logo placement this one will have to be spoon fed. Would it kill DC to put the title of the book somewhere in larger letters than the tag line? Basing sales on AV #34 (OCT120292), which came out in January. Batgirl: Holding steady sales-wise. The cover will pique some interest. Batman: Year Zero kicks off. There’s been concern expressed about event fatigue coming off DOTF and Snyder got long-winded in Swamp Thing’s Rot story. But… but this is BATMAN! Batman will sell and any event kick-off will sell well. Ordering how DOTF sold. Constantine: After a strong start we’re seeing some slowdown here. Falling to about what I expect, which is a mid-to-low level DC book. Green Lantern Corps: Writer Joshua Hale Fialkov’s first issue… though he’s already left the book due to editorial interference – or...
