Blood Brothers: We’ll sell a few as there seems to be a floor on any indie #1 but as it’s only 3 issues there’s little to recommend it. Star Wars Dark Times Spark Remains: Featuring Vader, which is always a sales plus. Match to Ninth Assassin. Strain The Fall: A sequel to the somewhat successful Strain that ended in February. Ordering like the previous series sold plus a few copies for the #1. 100 Bullets Brother Lono: This might have sold as 100 Bullets but as Brother Lono with a tiny “100 Bullets” on the cover, sales sucked. Yes, I could hand sell it but I’m not spending time doing the job that should have been done by DC in the first place. Cutting. Batman 66: Did I ever mention how much I despise the 60’s Batman show? It’s always been the epitome of the guy who had a phenomenal career but got drunk at the Christmas party 20 years ago and ruined his career. We still can’t seem to get a decent newspaper article without it being preceded by ‘Biff Pow BAM!’. I hate this. I hate this more than I hate Marvel qualified variants. I hate this more than I hate my ex-wife… okay, maybe not that much. But I do hate the living hell out of it. BUT, it will sell. I expect it to die quickly but the curiosity factor will sell numbers equal to Adventures of Superman or Arrow. Batman & Catwoman: I’m not a fan of monthly title changes but fans do like seeing these two together. Sales dropped on the previous issue...

True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: The Gerrard Way fans came out of the woodwork and #1 did very nicely. Holding steady with the same numbers for #2. Astro City: I was wondering if there were any Astro fans left from the last outing and it seems that the answer is ‘yes’, though they didn’t bring friends. Sold okay but not blowing the doors off. Cutting a bit for the usual #2 drop. Batman: Year Zero did quite well. Cutting a bit though but still above ‘normal’ numbers. Batman Arkham Unhinged: 3 out of 5 of our stores had more copies on the stands on week 4 than we did at the end of week 1. People are putting it back and that’s not a good sign for longevity. Collider: The blurb didn’t grab me and the gallery didn’t have a lot of appreciation for it either. One comment of ‘looks interesting’ was trumped by several others that think it has limited appeal. It will likely sell to the Vertigo crowd but not much beyond that. However, putting it in the idies section will boost some sales. Green Lantern Corps: Even with the ring we saw only a modest bump in sales. I expect to sell the rings until the next round of ring promotions but the sales in the comic were nothing short of disappointing. Even with the White ring, which was one of the least popular colors, I’m not ordering crazy. Cutting to meet demand but still too many due to the rings. Justice League of America: Forget that Vibe is on the team, this is a...
