Brain Boy Men from Gestalt #1: Match to the previous series Star Wars Darth Maul Son of Dathomir: Match to the latest Darth Vader mini Forever Evil: Despite a bit of lateness fans will want to see how this plays out. The price bump seems a bit bait-and-switch – pay more to find out how it ends – but that won’t keep the fans away. With the price change this should be returnable so don’t cut yourself short. Invincible: #110 got some attention and they’re pushing this one pretty hard. Order up. See if there’s a new ceiling. Mind the Gap: Solicited in November. Last issue shipped in December. Does any remember? Subs only. MPH: This will be a book of the week. A Millar book with a title denoting speed. Ironic, isn’t it? Rise of the Magi: A Silvestri book without Silvestri art. As much as I would like to recommend this the gallery seems to be poo-pooing the idea of strong sales. Saga #19: The next issue after the trade. Always worth a bump to see what the new ceiling is as the trade brings in new readers. Don’t be the guy looking for these on Friday. I will laugh at you. Loudly. Amazing X-Men: Throw in Starfire and Spidey to team up with Iceman, who is… y’know… Iceman. As in ‘who cares’. Jack Kraken One-Shot: Superhero one shot from a guy who’s most popular character is an antihero. Subs only. DC Comics Presents The Demon Drive Out: Prestige format for what should be a TP which seems to be released solely to grab readers of the new Ghost Rider book. If you want to do this sort of thing, DC, do it for the characters who are getting media buzz right now – FBP, Scalped, Hellblazer, Arrow, Deadshot, etc. Pass. Dead Boy Detectives TP Vol 1: Get this only if your Sandman sales make it worthwhile. Mars Attacks First Born: Match to your final Mars Attacks Judge Dredd numbers. Rogue Trooper Classics: They’ve put the ongoing on hiatus because of poor sales. Subs only. Star Trek New Visions #1 Mirror Cracked: The Photonovel Annual sold very well, and this features the always popular Mirror Mirror universe. Order at least for the last Annual, if not normal on-going Trek numbers. Weird Love: Reprints in the vein of Haunted Horror. Order similar numbers. Shutter: Sales seem good on this title. Hold steady and see if we see the dreaded Image #2 slump on this book. Walking Dead: A double-sized issue that will inevitably introduce new characters. Sounds like someone is selling us money for half price. Marvel: When they relaunched with All New Marvel Now I saw it as a sea-changing event. DC relaunching with 52 titles was certainly a sea change but in a very positive way; we’ll call that the knife that heals. Marvel’s ham-handed relaunch is certainly the leveling effect that is tearing at the fabric of comic collecting; the...
