Guns of Shadow Valley: I hate books like this. Beautifully rendered in a genre that is underserved all for $25. Problem is, it’s an unknown to most fans and most won’t take a $25 jump. Getting one or two per store. Action Comics: I’ve been disappointed by the “same ol’” response on the Doomsday storyline. Sales inched up a couple copies but nothing like Doomsday should have done. The main cover for this issue just doesn’t work for me – neat concept that just doesn’t come through. The Bombshells cover is an all-you-can-eat so increasing by 10% over current sales and splitting this one pretty much in half between the covers. (At least one member of the Gallery is thinking more in a 75/25 split on regular/variants but Bombshells have been more popular than I expected.) Aquaman and the Others: Ouch. This suffered from Marvel’s recent #2 drop and then some. I didn’t heat that #1 was terrible but fans just didn’t come back for #2. Cutting deeply. Batman 66 Meets Green Hornet: Kevin Smith and Alex Ross on this is like asking Michelangelo to paint your living room eggshell white. Waste of talent. I hate this book. I hate Batman 66. I hate Uncle Adam and Burtie Boy. I hate that 40 years removed every article about comics has to start with BIFF POW BAM. Go home Batman, you’re drunk. Ordering it at 125% of current Batman 66 sales. Cinder & Ashe: What in the wild world of sports is this doing back in print? Save your seven-and-a-half bucks and leave this a goose egg on the order...
