A Voice in the Dark: There’s supposedly a lot (some?) of media going on with this title but we haven’t see evidence that it’s getting any traction with potential buyers. Ordering how the previous series sold, which is not impressive. Oddly Normal: I like this. The Gallery isn’t sold. Kids section in a section that’s starting to get crowded with good all-ages material – who would have thought we’d live long enough to see that day! Ordering relatively low for an Image book. Supreme Blue Rose: #1 sold decent. Apparently it didn’t keep fans as #2 is DOA. All New Ultimates TP Vol 1: As no one cares about the monthly I’m not looking at stocking this one. I know there are the ‘waiting-for-the-trades’ people but they aren’t waiting for this trade. All-New X-Men: Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales teams-up and that should be worth a few (very few) extra copies. Avengers: Another 4.99 book from Marvel. I like more money per new book space as much as the next guy but I fear Marvel may price some fans out of the market. Beautiful cover but keeping numbers low as I see this as a falling off point. Dark Tower: With no data on #1 and no way of knowing if anyone will still care, subs until after #1 ships. I take umbrage at Marvel foisting a 5-issue series on us bi-weekly. It benefits them by shifting the entire guessing game of cost to us. So putting my money in the bank, not Marvel’s pocket on this one. Deadly Hands TP: If you carry everything people want then you carry...

Dark Horse Presents 2014 #2: Despite the solicits, there is apparently NOT a Sabertooth Swordsman story in this issue. Prometheus Fire & Stone #1: Part of DH’s Alien/Predator universe. Order according to the interest in those properties. Whedon Threeway One Shot: $1 Preview Book for the most recent Joss Whedon books – order to sell upcoming trades. Little Nemo Return to Slumberland #1 2nd Print: 1st Print has gone to backorder at Diamond, but this is such a oddball title (and I don’t mean that pejoratively – I really hope it does well), I can only recommend to watch sales through this weekend and reorder quickly if demand is there. Mars Attacks Art Gallery #1: You have Mars Attacks fans. Get enough for them. Rot & Ruin #1: Returnable at V-Wars numbers, which weren’t off the charts. Worth chasing that. Copperhead: I’m a sucker for a good sci-fi book or movie so I’m already stoked about this one but the Gallery is on board as well. First issue reads well and the art is great. Should do quite well. Order 20 and get an additional 10% off. Looks like printing money to me. Pull for Serenity and if you’re bold, Saga. Yeah, I’ll do that. Mind the Gap: Again. And again. Every time it shows up after the 4th time I cut it figuring that fans are as tired of waiting for it as I am of looking at it on FOC. Cut. MPH: Another that’s late. Had a slow story start so letting fans jump off this early will hurt sales. Cut a bit. Real Heroes: 3 months...

Concrete Park Respect #1: Sexy sci-fi street gang wars? Either this book or the marketing department decided to throw what they could at the wall to see what stuck. I’d say aim your orders towards Burn the Orphanage subs for the story and Love & Rockets fans for the art. Dark Knight Returns Call to Arms Statue: This is really kind of an unattractive statue for 400 bucks. I might order one if I knew I had a possible buyer, but this is gonna be a pain in the tuches to dust while you wait to sell it otherwise. DC Comics Batman Wood Figure: What? No. DC Comics Bombshells Statue Holiday Harley Quinn: Hooray! A Christmas-themed statue of a best-selling character! Enjoy the 12 hours you’ll have to sell it on Christmas Eve. (Hours may vary.) What the hell, DC? Names #1: A Vertigo revenge actioner from Peter Milligan. 100% returnable if you meet 90% of American Vampire numbers. Don’t see any reason not to hit that target and try and sell this like an Image #1. Target subs for books like Velvet and Thief of Thieves. Superman Wonder Woman Holiday Kiss Mini Statue: Another holiday statue. Another day to sell it in. Come New Years Day, you can probably box this one back up until next Thanksgiving. God Hates Astronauts: I’ve read the preview and this one just seems to be trying to hard to be off-the-wall and weird. So it will likely find an off-the-wall and weird indie audience that Image tends to attract. Not going overboard on this one but getting enough to fill the initial...

Grendel vs the Shadow #1: I like me some Matt Wagner, but this is really only going to appeal to the usual suspects. I’m not sure how many folks who would remember Wagner’s Grendel are still alive. Order based on Shadow Midnight in Moscow sales plus a few. Pop #1: How do you order an Image #1 when it’s not from Image? Base orders on your sales of Clone. Sundowners #1: New Tim Seeley book. Order #1 based on Revival sales. Teen Titans Earth One: OGN. Not the franchise that Batman or Superman is but it will still get a small bit of traction. Nothing but gut for numbers on this one but getting some for every store. The Last Fall #1 2nd Print: It looks like the first print sold well at our stores. Check your stock and reorder as necessary. Prophet Strikefile: Prophet has been a relatively low seller for us so the Strikefile seems doomed to even lower sales. Wayward: Another female-centric books like Shutter or Rat Queens from Image. Looking at those and ordering a bit up. I don’t know how long it will maintain but it’s got nice eye appeal. Covers A & B look strong, the others are hanger-ons for the completist. All New Doop: Am I the only one surprised that this made it to the completion of its 5-issue run without being canceled? All New Ultimates: No cover image for Invaders and no artist for this book. The announcement does tell us that the art will not be done by Amilcar Pinna. I’ll go out on a limb and suggest it...
