Dept H: #1 did okay.  75% for #2. Mae: Order and pull for Wayward.  Has a lot of the same vibe. 52 TP Book 1: A year without Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman and THAT’S the sales pitch?  Mediocre series with no real sales ability at 29.99.  Zero is just fine. Future Quest: Lot of “This will be cool” but I’m not seeing a ton of sales on this after the first few issues.  Thinking it will do about what Power Rangers have settled into on #3 for #1 on this one. Archangel: Not a lot of happy feelings coming from the Gallery on the one.  Yes, William Gibson is a known commodity in the world of sci-fi but George RR Martin is pretty well known as well and sales on his comics have been lackluster at best.  25 makes it returnable.  Not sure that’s a leap of faith I’m willing to take. Biggest Bang: 4 issue series gets no love. Subs. Brutal Nature: More non-love from the gallery but damn, this is a gorgeous book.  Hand selling to fans of painted art will grab a few sales. Strawberry Shortcake: I love that IDW constantly sticks us with 2 issues before we have data on the first and then charges us to reorder.  Thinking 75% of #1 and screw the reorder. Wynonna Earp #4: #3 is weeks late and #2 had mediocre sales so this gets a subs only. Black Road: #1 did okay.  Don’t see a need for 2nd prints.  Thinking 60% of #1’s sales on #2. Deadpool Last Days of Magic: Should sell like most other Deadpool...

House of Penance: Sold out of lower numbers.  Worth a small reorder.  Keeping #2 right there. Action 52: With the announcement of the death of Superman 52 we’ll see some added attention on these.  Don’t be afraid to pop the numbers up a bit. Adventures of Supergirl: Based on the TV series.  Thinking GA numbers here. Batman TMNT: When asked about a sequel at the DC Roadshow, Dan Didio said “That would be a good idea.”  When pressed if one was in the works he responded with “That would be a good idea.”  So yeah, there’s a sequel coming. Harley and her Gang of Harleys: #1 came in at 90% of Harley monthly so keeping it about there. Back to the Future Citizen Brown: The 4.99 is a mistake by IDW as a second series is tough enough to garner support equally the original.  Thinking 85% of what’s selling on the main series. Micronauts #2: #1 isn’t out yet and though IDW has huge expectations those expectations don’t mirror what the Gallery is thinking.  Placeholder of 40% until we see how this is going to go. Satellite Falling: The Gallery has no love for this but for fans of Copperfield or Black Science it has a nice appeal.  Order 1 and 5 of those are returnable.  Worth doing that to see if anyone else likes the art as much as I do. Grizzly Shark: Selling out of far too many copies. Black Knight TP: Gall. Yeah, it takes gall to cancel a series after 5 issues and then collect that turd in anything but a disposable plastic bag.  Zero....

Bloodlines: Not a strong start on #1.  Going not one issue more than what we sold so far on #1. DC #52 homage variants: Nifty idea but most of the covers aren’t iconic enough to be recognizable in a homage regard.  Thinking 75/25 split with the 25 being the variants. Jacked TP: A forgettable series.  I know Vertigo does better in trade but was anyone waiting for the trade on this one? 3 Floyds Alpha King: Azarello and Bisley so that’s +2 right there.  5 issues?  -1.  Might attract the eclectic crowd though not sure where the cross-pull lies. Renato Jones 1%: No doubt this will appeal to your Bernie Sanders voters and there’re a lot of them.  Don’t under-estimate this.  I don’t see Andrews as a huge draw but this could find some legs in election season. Black Panther: Strong showing for #1 with a lot of stores under-estimating the demand.  Stay with the demand and hold to the higher number until it proves otherwise.  Still some nice hype due to his appearance in Cap: Civil War. Black Widow: Considering all the variants on #1, #2 fell to 35% of #1’s sales in week 1.  Seems that fans suddenly remembered it was Black Widow. Civil War Poster: Please tell me they aren’t making a poster with a 1/3 black header and mediocre character pics.  Dang. I said don’t tell me. Daredevil Punisher: At best it’s editorially driven. At worst it’s a file story that found relevance.  Either way, with Season II hitting and the continued popularity DD fans will likely spring for more DD, especially if it involves...

Aliens Defiance: Should sell like other Aliens series plus  bit for the #1.  Nelson cover is pretty sweet but I fear the logo may cover the aliens, which is the selling point. Girls Night Out Action Figure Set: Very sellable.  Every store should be able to move one or more of these. Batman Animated Figures: Batman is alternate suit so specialized.  Clayface is a tough sell at $40.  Firefly… uh, who?  No.  Harvey is okay but limited demand.  Lot of Joker and Harley figs out there but they always tend to sell some. DC Comic Designer: Nice figs.  Sellable in the same lower numbers as most of these. Harley by Timm Statue: And it looks like the last 12 Harley statues we’ve received… and sold. DC Films figures: Beautiful but who is going to drop $50 and $45 (on figures with no picture no less)?  The $28 is getting to be a harder sell so these will likely cause fans sticker shock.  Seeing some of the same push-back in the higher-end Hot Toys market. DC Icons AF Accessories Set: For $28?  I’d rather drop that money on half an Armored Batman figure. DC Icons: Swamp Thing is laughably bad.  Skip.  Cyborg, which is dying as a comic series, if okay but $45. Pass.  Deathstroke is pretty sweet.  WW is another WW figure.  Note that we have 3 different AF series’ from DC hitting on the same day.  Pick you poison here but that’s a lot of figures for your average collector to absorb at once. Harley Romita Var: Draw enough pictures and one of them is bound to be...
