American Gods: Dropped to about 50% of #1 but it’s returnable at 90% so it’s tree-killing time. Batman: Coming off The Button, which is doing very well, we might see a small uptick in sales.  Maybe 5-10% over #19. Not sure Swamp Thing is the catalyst for keeping those added sales going. Batwoman: In freefall.  This one’s not returnable so cutting to the bone. Bombshells: Another great Harley & Ivy cover.  Worth an extra few. Hawkman By Geoff Johns: The killed Hawkman in a series called Death of Hawkman and no one cared. How much will they care for a 29.99 trade paperback?   No much at all.  Very skippable. Injustice 2 #2: No data on #1 so putting in a higher placeholder. Nightwing: Guest-starring Flash.  Worth an uptick after The Button appearances. Star Trek Next Generation: A FCBD book plus 25 copies makes it returnable.  Lot of fans for this so order about double of regular Star Trek and find the ceiling. X-Files Funko: This should sell about half of X-Files, which might be as low as half a copy in many stores. Yo-Kai Watch: 10 copies and it’s returnable so that’s the target. Grrl Scouts: Jim Mafood is a polarizing artist but Tank Girl fans have liked his work there.  Pull for Tank Girl. Rose: #1 sold decent numbers but disappointing overall.  Looking at about 50% of what sold on #1. Spawn 25th Anniversary: Pull for Spawn. Should interest the core fanbase. Wicked & Divine 455: Should sell about the same as a regular issue. Generation X: The new X-books brought us Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and all the...

Black Sinister HC: Looks fun in a deranged-Batman sort of way.  At 9.99 it’s a nice price but it’s still an unknown character. Worth a look. Dragon Age: Fans of this series will be back for the next chapter.  Haven’t seen this in a while so it’s likely all new to shoppers.  Relatively low number either way. Legend of Korra: Will appeal to the Avatar crowd  Start there and add a few. Action Comics: Throw Cyborg-Superman on the cover and it will generate a few extra looks.  Action is doing well so this should keep the momentum going. American Way 10 Anniversary TP: This was a poor-selling series so celebrating the 10th anniversary with a trade no one will want seems almost appropriate though forgetting it altogether would make more sense. Bug The Adventures of the Forager: Not a lot of good news on this one. It’s a mini-series so there’s little upside to it.  Though it’s Young Animals, the brand hasn’t moved the needle on Shade the Changing Girl and Cave Carson isn’t doing great.  Mike Allred’s art is polarizing – folks love it (10%) or hate it (90%). For those who love it, this is a must read; for the rest, it’s a no way.  So looking at a few things: Silver Surfer, Shade, and Cave Carson and going low.  Maybe lower than that. Extra/Free Wonder Woman Tiaras and Bracelets: Looks like the free are one or two bundles of 25 per store. What kind of traction did you get for Batman Day?  Cost is 50 cents per so making someone happy for 50 cents seems logical....

Predator Hunters: Same as it ever was.  The metallic ink will get it a few looks but inevitably, it’s the same buying crowd. Bane Conquest: As much as I’d like to applaud Chuck Dixon and Graham Nolan’s return to the character they created, villain comics are a tough sell.  If this were a Batman series featuring Bane, it would be ordered at about 40% of Batman.  As it’s strictly Bane, I’m thinking closer to 25% with selective pulls on Batman subs. Batman Coloring Book: If you’re selling any coloring books, you can sell this. Batman Vs Harley Statue: It’s pricy but yes, I can sell this. Batman Zero Hour TP: Not a horrible choice for a trade but it’s still a story from another time with a $25 price tag.  Maybe one. DK Master Race HC Edition: With the slipcase for all 9 editions.  If you have a set, you need this. DC Bombshells Harley Statue: The Gallery loves this.  I love it, too. Get one or more. DC Bombshells: Harley & Ivy cover.  +20% DC Designer Cho WW Statue: Very nice but we now have an army of Wonder Women statues. Really maxed out on this line. Deadman Dark Mansions of Forbidden Love TP: Sold pretty poorly and I don’t see the collection finding a new audience. Skippable. Doom Patrol TP: We’ve seen sales slipping on the comics but the trade should appeal to Gerard Way fans who might not stop in on a monthly basis. Injustice 2: You should have numbers down on this but with the storyline focusing on the new game expect some added demand....

Prometheus Life & Death: Last installment or not, this will sell just the same as the previous series. Action: The recent storyline has increased interest by quite a bit.  Find the ceiling. Batman New Gotham TP: I was going through DC trades last week and found that any Bat-trade not starting Batman was a tough sell.  This is that.  Not a lot of demand and few if any will miss this. Batman Shadow of the Bat: Batman meets Old Man Comics in a who-cares cross-over non-event.  Snyder fans may give this a look but it won’t find anything near Batman numbers.  Thinking about 50% of Batman on the first issue, pull selectively for your Batsubs, and watch it decline like K-mart stock from there. The coloring book variant will have solid traction. Wonder Woman Day books: Whenever a publisher makes a promotional effort, do something with it! Order up a bunch and promote the event. Suicide Squad: Tony Daniels on interiors and possibly one of Lee Bemejo’s sweetest covers ever should make this sell better than the more recent issues. Most sub customers want the A cover but Bermejo’s variant will be hard to pass up. 24 Legacy: The rebooted show got mediocre reviews and without Jack Bauer, I don’t see a rash of fans surging toward the comic stands.  10 gets 50% returnable but for most stores, selling even 5 of this will be a challenge. Night Owl Society: Gallery isn’t kind to this one.  Even with 10 copies making this 100% returnable it’s likely got limited appeal. Real Science Adventures: A spin-off from a book that’s always...
