Black Hammer: It’s back. 10 makes it returnable so that’s your starting point. Skottie Young cover and though most Skottie Marvel fans may pass, it’s worth ordering some extras to find out due to that returnable thing.   Superman variants: These are for the same week Action 1000 hits so a bump for the (hopefully) added traffic makes sense.   Batman: Main cover is pretty weak but the variant is by Jim Lee though it’s not available. I’d go 75% Lee and 25% main.   Damage #4: Poison Ivy cover, which will bring some eyes. Slight bump as this has fallen a bit.   Harley Quinn: Old Man Logan look to it. Looks fun though not sure a bump will happen.   Goosebumps Monsaters at Midnight OGN: If you got any play off the comics then youn should have one or more of these in stock.   Star Trek Discovery: Should do pretty much like the first series though with a 5-10% attrition that won’t show up until the second issue. #1s always do okay so match to the last issue of the previous series.   Infidel: #1 did okay but for a 5-issue mini this needed to be stronger. Will finish out subs only..   Savage Dragon: Porn. And the cover this month is waaaaay over the top. I won’t display it in my stores but this crapfest is now subs only anyways.   Skyward: Looks cute. Could gain some readers looking for something a bit different. Lower middle Image book.   Marvel Venom variants: Most of these make no sense but some folks will want them. Don’t...

Game of Thrones: The Mother of Dragons figure will get some new play when (when!) the new season hits. Not sure anyone will pay the price on the Jon Snow bust, which is just mediocre. Resident Alien New York: The previous series, though well-liked by those following it, didn’t sell well. Without a hand-sell initiative, this will follow the same path as the previous. Action 1000: Huge book, huge price, huge opportunity to either make a nice fortune or screw yourself with unsold $7.99 books. So what to order? EVERY Superman fan will want this – it’s an historic landmark for not only Superman but the comic industry itself. On top of that, it’s a legitimate #1000, with 999 previous issues unlike some of the manufactured anniversaries of late. There will be those folks who want all the covers. If you’re not making this a clear option, do so. Best cover? I think it will fall to those who loved Superman throughout their collecting and reading career more than the artist. I’m not an Allred fan but yeah, that’s my favorite cover as that was the era that hooked me. I suggest 3-5X on the main cover and 1.5-2X on each of the other covers AS A BASE. If you have more subscription action, order up! Blank covers: These will have a long tail as any art collector will jump at the chance to have a Superman original on an Action #1000. Cyborg TP Vol 3: Does everything need to be collected? Previous sales and sales of the series, despite the JLA push, have done nothing for the also-ran...

Art of Metal Gear Solid: Cool art book but pricy. Many will look online but at this time, Amazon is only $10 cheaper. Worth carrying if you have the market for it.   Hellboy Complete and Omnibus: Both these will sell. Maybe not immediately but Hellboy is a decent seller when viewed by year rather than “right now”. Worth carrying.   Neil Gaiman Study in Emerald: Gaiman sells. Sells a lot. Worth carrying in every store.   Xerxes Fall of the House of Darius: 300 isn’t exactly a top seller anymore and though Miller is a comic legend, he doesn’t have a fanbase among the younger crowd. Returnable at 10 copies so that’s your starting point and depending on how hard you want to push this, go up from there. Should be a great read and worth the effort to get people to take a look.   Batman: you can’t over-order this. Thinking 250% of whatever you’re selling now, split evenly. This will have ongoing demand as the media grabs onto it and I’ll predict a second printing announcement within 7 days of release.   Batman Harley Expressions Pack: Gallery is split on this one though all agree it’s pretty pricy. If you sell Harley figs regularly, get one or maybe two.   DC Core Joker: We’re moving a ton of the Marvel and DC figures in this price range so no reason we won’t see great sales on a Joker fig. Ordering moderate to high for a $50 piece.   DC Cover Girls Batgirl: Nice statue and the price is right to sell some.   DC Batman Statue:...

Bug TP: Allred has his fans so this might get a bit of traction there. More for the Vertigo crowd so rack it close if you’re carrying this.   Immortal Men: Jim Lee will bring a lot of eyes to this first issue but the group of unknown characters will have to carry it beyond that. Looking at the rest of the New Age titles and going higher than any that have sold due to the art.   Mera: We sold out of nearly Aquaman numbers. #2 will not have an Artgerm cover so not bumping up and going about 75% of what sold out.   Mother Panic Gotham AD: Logic says this should do the same as the previous series but anytime you put Gotham and Joker on the cover, the numbers change. Plus 25%-50% for the #1 and the Bat-influence.   Raven: #2 had the usual slide but this is a 12-issue series and Raven will sell. Cutting back a bit.   Silencer: Not enough folks came back for #2 to make this a good recommendation. Ordering how #2 sold.   Suicide Squad: Strong A cover but the B cover won’t sell and extra copy.   Terrifics: Strong sales on #1 though we’ve seen that on all these #1s so looking at how the #2s have sold so far and going from there.   Bubba Ho-Tep: Army of Darkness fans will give this a look. Not as popular, but AOD has been played out and this is the first time for this cult-classic movie. Returnable at 10 copies.   Crow: The fans are still out there though...
